Spiritual Mothering Sistering

Spiritual Mothering Sistering

We need Grace to help.

We need Mercy to forgive.

We need Peace to comfort.

Christ is our common reality; we are joined together in His life

Titus 2:1-5 “As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching. Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience. Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.”

We cannot and should not live and grow in the Gospel alone

I have been extremely blessed with a group that started out as sort of a “single moms club” with the occasional stragglers that didn’t have kids and some married (we turned no one away-thank God), but has grown into my second family. Each person brings their own importance to the group to make it whole. We all have our own trials and tribulations but are able to seek wisdom, experience, guidance, support and love from one another which makes our trials a little less troublesome. We hold each other accountable and are each others prayer warriors. There is no judgement or ill encouragement, lies to make each other feel better, or false hope. We tell each other how it is to encourage each other not to act out on feelings but rather assess the situation and to give it to God first. These ladies have helped me grow in ways unimaginable not only with my relationship with God, but as a person as well. I hope Titus 2 will continue to shape our relationships moving forward. God blessed me in ways beyond what i deserve when he placed these wonderful, beautiful souls, God-seeking young ladies in my life and I am so so so so so thankful!!

Girl, this just pull strings in my heart I wasn’t even ready for! I have gotten the pleasure to not only watch you grow in your faith, but to walk aside of you and grow in mine as well as your sister! You are going to do amazing things, heck you’re already an amazing mother and with the kind of faith you have you do realize that your unstoppable right?! I’m so proud of you and really mean it when I say that you along with the other women in our group are truly my “immeasurably more.” Love you girl and keep on writing!!
